Singapore | Sending Requirements
From 30 January 2023, messages sent to Singapore numbers using unregistered sender identification (Sender ID), including long and short codes, may be blocked.
How to register your Sender IDs
To send messages using Sender IDs to Singapore numbers, you’ll need to register your Sender IDs (including shortcodes, e.g. 7XXXX and long virtual numbers). This will help strengthen safeguards against scammers.
1. First, you must have a Singapore unique entity number (UEN) to register a Sender ID. Foreign-based businesses can obtain a Singapore UEN by registering with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA).
2. Once your Singapore UEN is sorted, go to the SSIR portal to register your Sender ID(s). You may need to create an account if you don’t already have one. Please note there is an SGD500 setup fee with SSIR and an SGD200 fee per Sender ID registration. You’ll need to select Sinch Singapore Pte Ltd as the participating aggregator.
3. Once you’ve successfully registered your Sender ID(s), you’ll need to provide us with a letter of authorisation (LOA) on your company’s letterhead – please email support@cakraflash.com to request a copy.
4. Once you’ve filled in and signed the letter on your company letterhead, you can return it to us at support@cakraflash.com.
Once you submit the Letter Of Authorisation to us, what happens?
1. We’ll submit the paperwork to the relevant parties and await confirmation from them of the successful whitelisting of the account.
2. We’ll then provision your number.
3. You’ll receive confirmation from us that you’re approved for sending to Singapore.
